Swim Lessons for Waterbabies

Philosophy

Our philosphy is to empower parents to become their child's first swim teacher. Our goal is to encourage infants and toddlers to experience fundamental aquatic skills such as breath control, buoyancy, and balance in a fun and loving way for the first time with Mom or Dad.

This class is appropriate for children between the ages 9 months - 4 years who can walk independently (unless a disability is present). Toddlers who can't walk yet are also welcome, but will just be more limited.

This is a recreational class designed to children acclimate to the water while providing short experiences of submerging underwater. This class is NOT designed to teach children under the age of 4 to swim independently.

Skills Practiced in Class:
- Independent movement on the steps.
- Supported swimming on the front.
- Wall walking & climbing out of the pool.
- Submersions.
- Back floating and rolling over into a back float.
- ...plus a few other age appropriate skills.

PLEASE NOTE: All children must wear appropriate swim attire including a disposable or re-usable swim diaper that is snug around the waist and thighs. Swim diapers are very different than regular diapers and your child MUST wear an appropriate swim diaper. Disposable swim diapers are for sale at Happy Fish for $2.00 if you forget to bring one.

How It Works

Classes can be registered for independently and cancelled with at least a 24-hour notice without penalty. To reserve a class during this week and/or next week, please follow the directions below.

Step 1: Create an account through the Parent Portal and add your child as a student.

Step 2: Select the week you want to register for, and then select the specific dates you want to attend class.

Step 3: Make a payment for the class with a credit card you want to keep on file (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). You will receive a confirmation and payment receipt in your email.
