Swim Lessons for Adults

Learning to swim later in life can be a fun rewarding experience. Adults may take swimming lessons for a variety of reasons: conquer childhood fears, a different form of exercise, train for an event, or just to learn a new skill. Whatever your goal may be, we plan to help you achieve your goal as quickly as possible. By using the same techniques and progressions we do with children, adults are able to learn swimming in a simple, logical way. Adult classes are 45-minutes in length to allow for extra practice time and monthly schedules are completely flexible.

Unfortunately adult classes DO NOT qualify for a Free Trial Class. "Why" you ask?

FREE trial classes are meant for children who may not be emotionally ready to take swim lessons, or who could use an assessment of their skills before committing to an ongoing, weekly class. Adults should ALL be emotionally ready and are able to register for a single class at a time without making any long term commitments.

We have two basic levels that will cover everything you would ever want to learn.

Fundamentals of Swimming (Beginners)
Learn the basic fundamentals of swimming: body position, kick, stroke, and breathing/timing. The ultimate goal for this class will be to swim a lap in a relaxed fashion.

Stroke Development (Intermediate/Advanced)
Develop your strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Elementary Backstroke, and Breaststroke while also learning efficient ways to tread water. This is a "lap-based" class. Participants must be comfortable swimming a lap with side breathing.

How It Works

We understand that our adult students have very busy schedules and have to juggle work, family, school, etc and appreciate the flexibility we provide. You can customize your monthly schedule and choose only the classes you want to attend during the current month and/or next month as well. Students that need to cancel a class (or transfer to another day) can do so online or by contacting Happy Fish 24-hours in advance without penalty.

Step 1: Create an account through the Parent Portal and add yourself as a student.

Step 2: Add a class by selecting the Month and Class you want to register for (i.e. October - Fundamentals of Swimming). Then select the specific dates you want to attend class.

Step 3: Click through and make sure you have a valid credit card on file (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). You will receive a confirmation and a receipt in your email.
